Mool Chandra Sharma was born in Rath. His Father name was Sadashiv Sharma. He was very strenous and popular Freedom fighter.a secret organization of the Vande Mataram acclamation was running in 1920. 'Bundel khand Kesari' was the life of that  organization.

People were afraid to be against the British government openly. That  time in Rath tahshil pt Mool Chandra Sharma  said to Deewaan Shatrughan Singh that not to pay donation to the Britishers. And were moved out from the chair. In those days, regardless of the government's repression Sharma ji was come ahead to undertake of their reception.

The organizer of the first political convention in town was Pt Mool Chandra Sharma and Matadin Budhauliya. Due to the appeal of Pt Motilal  Nehru He joined the volunteer corps, For this he had to face not only the baton  of the police, but also has to face prison for a year. A few days later, He was ejected from the district for giving support to the agitators.

He suffered torture with great patience and Bravery. Sharma was liberal person and  skilled in attitude . For spreading Education and Public Service as a donors his name will always be remembered. Literature was also her passion. A room in Brahmanand Inter Collage was build by Sharma ji. and donated Rs 5,000 in as well. He was the  chairman of the Rath municipality . Also became the chairman  of Congress committee for years.

The another patriot and Supporter of Mool Chandra was Matadeen Budhauliya the son of Halku Budhauliya born in Chaubatta Muhal in Rath. He suffered 21 days in jail during freedom movement and two years in salt satyagrah.

During the epidemic of Rath his service for the unsound people was always ahead. He was bravo and stout hearted. We lost this great patriot on July 1973 untimely. Political life of Matadeeb Budhauliya was simple and clear yet his personal life life was full of suffocation and regiment. His activities in freedom struggle was well known in Bundelkhand.
