Hamirpur district has
an excellent role in India's freedom struggle. , it not only just the
participated but also sacrifices in every criticality happend during 1857 to
1947. It is our misfortune that in the history there is the name of some
prominent Leaders like Parmanand and Shatrughan Singh but many has not
described the role of freedom struggle. Dr. Vindrawan Lal Verma have tried to
highlight the role of the district. But historically the efforts are
incomplete.
